The Friends of the Somersworth Public Library are a group of community members who believe in the power of a great library. Together with the library director, we help make programs, resources, and opportunities possible for everyone in our community.

Our mission is to support, strengthen, and promote the Somersworth Public Library. Through fundraising, advocacy, community outreach, and volunteer support, the Friends help provide resources that go beyond what the library’s regular budget can cover.

There’s a place for everyone in the Friends!

The Friends of the Somersworth Public Library are a group of community members who care about our library and want to help it thrive. Everyone is welcome to join, whether you have just a little time to give or are looking for a meaningful way to become more involved in your community.

There are many ways to be a Friend. You might volunteer at an event, lend a hand with fundraising, attend a meeting, share an idea, or simply become a member and show your support. Every contribution matters, and every person who gets involved makes a difference.

Whether you can give an hour, a helping hand, or a little more of your time and energy, we’d love to have you be part of the Friends.

Come join us, get involved in whatever way works for you, and help us support the Somersworth Public Library and the community we all share.

The Friends meet at the library on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:45 PM, except in July. All are welcome!
